Sport Cameras are all the rage right now.

  • They’ve come down in price.
  • They’re fun.

Strapping a camera to your head as you go barreling down a hill on a

  • Mountain bike
  • Pair of skis
  • Snowboard
  • Piece of cardboard
  • Golf cart
  • Friend’s head

is (if the movie Jackass has anything at all to teach us) very much an “in” thing to do.

So what’s cooler than a sport camera that works really well to record both video and pictures at extreme speeds?

A sport camera that also works underwater!

And what’s cooler than that?

Our review of IntelSpy’s action cam/sport camera:

This is among the best in lower price range self-contained action cams.  It’s light (80g), hands-free (of course), and brings you digital video files in 640 x 480 (30 frames per second).  It’s not 1080p, but for the price on this camera, you’re going to be hard pressed to find better value for money.

IntelSpy’s video files from the sport camera will work with both Macs and PCs, and the files generated by the camera work seamlessly with most video editing software.

If you wanted to securely record a conversation, the action cam would work for that as well, which is why we’re talking about it here on IdentityTheftSecrets.

If someone is doing something particularly stupid in a high speed or action setting, this camera is the best way to capture it.

So in review, this camera is built solid and offers great video.  Again, it’s not high-def, so don’t expect that, but Intel Spy has done a great job getting enough light into the lens to produce quality video from this camera.

Review Point #1: If you put the waterproof back cover on and put it in waterproof mode, you won’t get sound.  No surprise there.  Waterproof microphones are expensive (and mildly pointless for most reasons people want to film underwater, where sound doesn’t really travel well ).

Review Point #2: If you want to get good quality video, you need a high speed micro sd card.  Make sure you get something like an 8GB or larger card, and a class 10 or better SD card.

Potentially Negative Review Point #1: The microphone points toward the back of the camera.  This is a good thing in a windy environment (like barrelling down a hill on a mountain bike), but might not be as good if you wanted perfect audio.  Still, the audio is great.

Intel Spy has other sport cameras as well.  You can get a Intel Spy’s Coupon for all cameras by clicking the link below.
