- Identity Thieves are out to get you.
- People want to injure, harm, and maim all that you hold dear.
- The world’s gone to hell in a handbasket.
So the news reports would have you believe. But it doesn’t have to be like that. Identity theft is a huge problem, and one that needs rapid correcting. At the same time, the best defense against identity theft is an armed consumer.
If you become an armed consumer, you will know not only when someone is trying to
- scam you,
- rip you off,
- or steal your identity,
you will also know what to do about it.
That’s our goal here on IdentityTheftSecrets. We are showing you the secrets identity thieves use to steal your identity, and showing you steps to take to protect yourself before, during, and after crime occurs.
Take heart friends.
The world is actually a really cool place, once you know how to deal with identity theft and consumer fraud…
once you know the secrets identity thieves use to steal your information…
once you know, IdentityTheftSecrets….
This site was started by me, Jonathan Kraft, in late 2004.
At one point, I was known by a fair number of people as Colorado’s Foremost Expert on Computer-related Identity Theft.
But titles don’t mean that much to me.
I started this website because I got ripped off on eBay in 1999. A friend and I bought some computers and had them delivered. $600/each for the computers. When they arrived, they were as good as paper weights. We’d been ripped off. And it destroyed the trust my friend had in me, probably for good.
Scammers are out there in the world. But the world is full of good people too.
The goal of IdentityTheftSecrets is to help good people become educated and informed about identity theft so that they can make informed decisions throughout life.
I have a couple of people who help me with the site, including my wife Carrie and our long-time friend Lisa Carey.
